Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to go from slap Rinka to Frischaufov dom. Last year in August the route was closed and I could not find the way from izvir Savinje.

The trail is open, but there is a temporary bypass around izvir Savinje, which is a bit rougher than the rest of the trail.
When I was there last (11. 8. 2024), a part of that bypass was poorly marked. When you reached the dry riverbed, you had to turn left, go 30 m or so down the riverbed and look for the marked trail on the right bank.

The path with the bypass was newly marked in September 2024, and it was partially restored again in late April 2025. You can still get to the Savinja River source (30 m from the marked path), but the you have to return to the marked path. I wish you a safe hike.

The old hut burned down a couple of years ago. The new one is not built yet, but a temporary wooden hut was built, where you can get a drink and something to eat. You cannot spend the night, because no sleeping facilities are available. The hut is open, but in case of poor weather conditions, it stays closed.
